Belgian waffles in Boston...

today's breakfast special
(these are not as cakey as the Belgian waffles we've tried but they do look like them. a bit.)
"yum mom, better than Eggo's!"
mix 2 eggs, 3 tbsps of melted butter and 1 cup of milk.
whisk 1 & 1/2 cups of flour, 4 tsps. of sugar, 3 tsps. of baking powder, and 1/2 tsp. of salt. add flour mixture to egg-butter-and-milk mixture and blend well.
preheat waffle maker and lightly grease with oil or butter and cook according to waffle maker instructions. lift up waffles with tip of spatula or fork.
we like our waffles just sprinkled with powdered sugar, or with maple syrup and butter.
