a sliced "Hawaiian" banana, slivers of sweet jackfruit in syrup ("Handaan" brand),
wrapped in lumpia wrapper and briefly deep fried.
there were lots of vendors at the Philcoa tricycle stop on the periphery of Quezon Memorial Circle. as we waited for a ride there was sweet potato-cue, green mangoes w/ bagoong (shrimp sauce), sago drinks...and turon.
